Happy New Year!

It’s been a super long time since I last wrote on the blog – unfortunately, I just had too many life events taking place that required every ounce of my strength and attention to resolve and/or power through (some are recurring issues), leaving me very little time to focus on this blog.

But believe it or not, there have been some beauty saucethoughts marinating in the recesses of my noggin (keeping up with the news is something I’ve been consistent on since youth, as I try to keep my knowledge flowing), not the least of which is tied to our permanent (as I’ve told anyone who was willing to take me seriously in the early days when people were finally willing to address COVID-19 as a serious issue) pandemic: makeup. Or rather, the repetitiveness or the inflation that’s creeping upward steadily.

Not only are things getting stupidly expensive, but also repetitive – can I just point out the explosion of beauty brands that are getting dropped, as if there aren’t enough brands already circulating? Or the number of products that have been dropped and marketed as you-need-this-or-you’ll-die?

I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time I’ve written about beauty fatigue, but 3 years into this damn pandemic and I’m really feeling it more now than ever.
